Planning for the love of family, self and peace of mind.

Our firm was founded from a place of compassion. Estate planning, or the lack of estate planning, touches the lives of everyday people.  When a major life event happens to a loved one, such as death or disability, the lack of planning can cause confusion, can be costly and can create family conflicts which can affect the lives of family members.

Estate planning involves creating a plan to indicate how your estate will be distributed upon death and also includes a plan for the administration of your financial and healthcare matters in the event of a disability.

Examples of estate planning documents include but are not limited to documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney for Property and Healthcare and Living Will Declarations.

We create estate plans based on your family situation and create a plan unique to you!  We deliver detailed service based on years of experience in the fields of estate planning and probate law.

We also handle uncontested probate matters in Cook County.

Practice Areas

Estate Planning

Estate planning is the process of arranging and managing your assets during your lifetime and deciding how they will be distributed after your death. It involves making important decisions regarding your property, finances, and healthcare to ensure that your wishes are carried out and your loved ones are provided for according to your intentions.

In some cases, the estate of someone who dies owning property must be probated. Probate is a court process by which a deceased’s property is transferred to those who are to receive it and in which the deceased person’s financial and legal affairs are administered and finalized.

Real Estate

Real estate closing services encompass the final steps of property transactions, ensuring legal compliance and smooth ownership transfer. These services include document preparation, title search, escrow management, coordinating the closing meeting, funds disbursement, document recording, and post-closing assistance.

Key Components of Estate Planning:

A Will is a document that controls the disposition of a person's property at death. A Will also allows you the opportunity to nominate the individual or individuals whom you would like the court to appoint as guardian of your minor children.

A revocable living trust is primarily a vehicle for managing your property during your lifetime, including even if you become incapacitated, and might also allow you to pass property on to your beneficiaries at death without probate. A trust, generally, is an agreement in which one or more persons (the trustee of trustees) holds and manages property for beneficiaries of a trust.

Powers of Attorney for Property

A power of attorney for property provides for another person to manage a person's property either effective immediately or upon an incapacity. In a power of attorney, you name an agent and you give that agent certain powers to act on your behalf.

Powers of Attorney for Health Care

A power of attorney for health care provides for another person to make health care decisions on your behalf either immediately or upon an incapacity.

Living Will Declaration

This is a statement given directly to your doctor that makes clear one's wishes as to how he or she would want to be treated when death is imminent.
